David Baliruno is an author, leadership practitioner, and development-oriented trainer with over two decades of experience spanning healthcare systems, research, and community transformation. With a strong foundation in biomedical laboratory technology and a Master’s degree in Financial Management, he brings a rare blend of scientific discipline, financial insight, and strategic leadership to his work.
Beyond his professional career, David is a passionate social entrepreneur deeply engaged in SACCO development, leadership formation, and human capacity building. Over the years, he has been involved in the founding and strengthening of community-based organizations, and has witnessed firsthand the full lifecycle of SACCOs — from fragile beginnings to growth, collapse, and long-term sustainability.
He championed the JCRC staff SACCO and, as Chairman of the Board, spurred the SACCO’s growth fourfold in four years. These real-world experiences form the backbone of his practical, story-driven approach.
Through his writing, training, and mentorship, David focuses on raising pathfinders — individuals and institutions that overcome limitations, lead with integrity, and build lasting impact. His work emphasizes ethical leadership, financial discipline, and collective responsibility as the pillars of sustainable development.
